everytime I try to download avg products I get other products that say Download. why is this not a safe site to dcownload from? Some of them I in error downloaded on an older computer and could never get rid of them. Uninstall means nothing to some spammers.

Hi Dusan.

You say that AVG recommends downloading from their own website, but if you go to http://free.avg.com/us-en/free-antivirus-download (that's what google tells me to do if I search for DOWNLOAD AVG FREE) you'll see that the free version will be downloaded from CNET. They didn't listen to you!

Hello Kees,

Yes, main download link on our site points to Cnet, that is why I provided dutchlady1 with alternative link to full installation packages downloadable directly from avg.com.

Thank you
