Spam

The reputable German weekly magazine Der Spiegel published in it?s edition, May 14. 2005, a report about computer criminality and Spam. The following facts were highlighted:
* 80 % of all worldwide Spam originates from only 200 people or companies.
* Most Spam originates in the United States, followed by China, South Korea and Russia.
* The anti-Spam organization Spamhaus, gives the names of the biggest US Spam culprits:
Bill Waggoner, Michael Lindsay, Richard Colbert and an Alan Ralsky.
* The only American ever sentenced seems to have been a Jeremy Jaynes operating under the name of Gaven Stubberfield who apparently (only) got nine years for his foul deeds.

What I am asking you, my dear American friends, how is it possible that you seem to be unable to stop this curse with the necessary legislation? The inability of the American legal system to root out the Spam originating in your country amazes and annoys us here in Europe; after all it?s ?your? spam that floods our in-boxes as much as it floods yours! Do something about it!
