Spaces!

Jan 24, 2008 12:40AM PST

Hi all,

I have a question about Spaces.

So by default when the Mac starts one is in Space 1 - the upper left hand side (i set it to have 4 space-blocks).

I start checking email (boss drops in!!) and now I move over to Space block 2 (upper right hand side) Wink

Now I want to open Firefox again in Space block #2. Now instead of opening a new window in block #2, the screen shifts to block #11 where FF was opened earlier!!

I tried setting up Spaces prefs by letting FF be opened in all the 4 space blocks, but that didnt help either. WHen I set FF to be opened in all 4 blocks then the FF window from block#2 moves to block #1 and i am back to square 1, oops! back to block 1

For now the workaround i am doing is that--open FF in block #1 and use Safari for block #2!!

So how do i get to open each application window in each of the 4 blocks?
Are there some settings that I am missing?

sorry if i have confused it all with so many blocks and spaces!!

thanks in advance

K
