There were two MSKB articles related with AutoCAD issues after SP2 installation.

1. Google's Q884130 -"Programs that may behave differently in Windows XP Service Pack 2"

Actual Q884130 -"Programs that are known to experience a loss of functionality when they run on a Windows XP Service Pack 2-based computer" article.

It seems that Autocad 2004 vanished from the problem list.

and

2. Q842242 -"Some programs seem to stop working after you install Windows XP Service Pack 2"

As far as I can tell you, AutoCAD 2004 was working after SP2 install. At the moment I don't see any windows XP Sp2 related info at Autodesk's site.

Peter,

I had my doubts before I installed SP2 on that particular PC (with AutoCAD 2004), especially for the fact that MSKB article was as it's now in Google's cache (as you can see it changed).

However, it worked after SP2. As I checked at Autodesk site, there is no info regarding SP2. So, I hadn't any patch to download. I said (another thread) and repeat here that one has the option to uninstall SP2 from Add/Remove Programs. So, go ahead and don't be worried, should work.

Good Luck,

Cetin
