SP2

by silverstar47512 / September 16, 2004 7:57 PM PDT

I got the Sp2 update and after using it a day or two I immediately uninstalled it. The firewall interfered with most of my net usage even when turned off. My friend installed it also and it took over her entire PC. I would not recommend SP2 to anyone. DON'T USE IT !

Microsoft will base future patches on XP SP2. If you don't sort out your SP2 issues, then you soon will have an unprotected machine.

For those that think they can patch it with firewalls etc., take a look at the JPEG EXPLOIT.

Your post just shows that Microsoft didn't give you enough training to use the new firewall. And P2P users will complain.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
