Sp-2

i try 3 xs to install sp-2 /after it gets say 1/2 way i get a < acess denied> message??
also what is rundll / hentcfg.dll / < missingentry> mean

hentcfg.dll is likely spyware or another pest. It's very well known that SP2 doesn't play well if your machine has SPYWARE.

correction that dll should read < hnetcfg.dll > srry for my thumbs got in the way .....how do you repair that DLL?

ok R P i ran the c:\windows\system32/hnetcfg.dll\
and failed / it tells me return code 0X80070005\
ok now what?

You may have another pest you need to find. I wonder if you've run a current antivirus, pest control programs (adaware, spybot) and more?

Your first post had a typographic error, so you must take extreme care since a missing space or not following the exact syntax or not being logged in as an administrator will create such problems.

In closing, the output of TASKLIST seems to be nice to know since you can use that to see if you have an uninvited guest.
