1. Post in the XP forum.
2. Tell the make and model of everything so the first reply is not asking "What make and model is...???"
hello;
I recently upgraded my system to windows xp from windows 98. Also, I decided to purchase a new sound card for the newly upgraded mother board. unfortunately after 3 weeks of total torture, the compamy finally agreed that perhaps there was an uncapability issue which was causing the new sound card to work incorrectly. when I went to reinstall the soundblaster 5.1 back in as well as the software , the process would not reinstall correctly and the prior reinstall would not clear from the system. it was a total mess. Windows XP is also preventing me from clearing the remaining files in the old version 5.1 software so that I can start anew. is there anyway that I can clear out everything and start windows xp with no previous soundblaster 5.1 and other sound card filed from the third party company that I later bought from? I just wish to start with a clean area with none of the previous applicaions present, but it looks like windows xp is preventing me from accompolishing this? any help in this matter would be greatly appreciative .
