Question

Soundbar in Standby all the time.

I have a Samsung Wireless Audio Soundbar model HW-J250. A few days ago I couldn't get it to turn on - I thought it was the lithium battery but when I put in a new one (correctly, per the User manual) it still wouldn't turn on.

What happens is that when I press the Power button on the handset, the soundbar goes into standby; the red standby indicator at the front comes on.
If I press the Power button again, nothing happens other than the standby button goes out.

Can you help please?

This is my first time in this forum so If I posted in the wrong place, would a Moderator please move it for me. Thanks in anticipation.

Hello R. Proffitt. That sounded slightly sarcastic. I too looked at the product manual but it didn't work for me.

I apologize.

I had hoped that would be it instead of the "it's dead Jim" response and now that you did that it's time to look in the manual (is that what upset you?) for any reset procedures. Try those and we have hit the end where it's dead.

Soundbar in Standby all the time.

hello R Proffitt.
Nothing in the manual worked so I've just ordered a new sound bar. One of my son-in-laws recommended a Sony** (which he has) & it's just arrived.
(**The handset has standard batteries rather than lithium; this is an improvement in my view but perhaps new Samsung soundbar have ordinary batteries too?)

He's taking the Samsung to see if he can work his magic on it. It might be a month before I get back but I will update you!

Thanks for all the help here. Much appreciated.
