ARC/HDMI output from HDTV to AV receiver? Or digital optical cable? Are you simply using the built in speakers?
All that said, it’s important to understand that sometimes even with consistent gigabit speeds you still might hear imperfections- similar to the video/PQ side.
Have you tried a *wired* ethernet connection instead if by chance you are wireless from AP to HDTV?
Also check the audio streaming settings both on HDTV and respective app.
Let us know more specifics if you think of more.
Just had a Sony 55 OLED installed.
Brilliant picture... BUT I have to tell you that I am far from satisfied with the sound quality on 4k HD movie downloads. The audio breaks up and 'stutters' every 5mins or so.
At first I thought this was due to my server's low download speed, as a few weeks ago it was less than 20 Mb/s due to a BT Exchange fault. This has since been fixed.
I've not only conducted several ping tests myself but contacted Talktalk to investigate the true upload and download speeds. Our fibre connection delivers up to 80Mb/s and is consistently more than 50Mb/s. But still the 'stuttering sound' persists.
I've also tried different 4k HD sources, eg Jack Ryan, Grand Tour, Looming Tower, Sneaky Pete, etc. But all exhibit the stuttering sound on 4k HD sources.
Any solutions please?
