SOUND STOPPED WORKING

May 14, 2007 10:45PM PDT

Hi. I am not computer savy but I think I can follow instructions well. Can someone tell me what to look for in determining why audio is no longer working on my computer. I am running Windows XP with speakers and subwoofer attached. I checked my speakers and they are plugged into the back of my computer but I'm not sure they are plugged into the correct port.

I used to always get audio sound but all of a sudden I am not able to. My nephew sends me video clips and I'm able to view them just fine but the sound never comes across. When I boot up my computer each morning, the Windows sound plays just fine. Please help. Can you please tell me what I can do to determine where my problem is and fix it so I can enjoy the video clips once again?

Thank you,
