Question

Sound skipping when using SoundShare on soundbar

Feb 9, 2015 1:40AM PST

What I am using: TV (UN60H7150AFXZA) and Soundbar (HW-H550/ZA).

When using the bluetooth soundshare, the sound begins to "skip" or kind of "flutter". But, this does not happen with every input source. The sound does not skip when I use my PS4 for gaming or movies. It does not skip for Apple TV. It does skip when watching DirectTv or when using Smart Tv apps such as netflix. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? The sound never skips when using just the TV speakers and not the soundbar.

The Direct TV is the wireless genie setup. Internet is Charter Spectrum. (Not sure if any of that matters).

Thanks for any help

The thing is, with more and more wireless in the home

I've learned to forgo bluetooth or a wireless connection when possible. Until a new standard arrives all the wireless in the home can create link issues.

Have you tried going through the sound menu and checking to see if the audio format is set to PCM?

PCM

When you say PCM, is that the same thing as turning on Dolby Digital? If so, then yes I have done that.

PCM

It's not the same, it's changing up the format in which the soundbar is reading the sound. By changing it to PCM, it can be an easier signal to read when connecting via soundshare.

U would just go to Sound menu & there should be something that that says format, if it says dolby digital or something else, just change it to PCM.

Hope this helps!
