Sound Problems UN55JS9000

Mar 15, 2016 11:40PM PDT

Hello I just bought a UN55JS9000 and I am having Sound problems.

I have an X1 (Comcast ) connect via HDMI and and Ps3 Also connected with HDMI (4k quality cables) .

The issues :

No matter what setup audio I tried is the same problem , if I am watching CNN or Fox for example voice quality is ok but if I go to HBO ambient sound is to loud and voice is terrible , if you pop the volume up , the ambient is to loud to keep that way .

If fox and Cnn you can hear very well at 10% volume when you go to netflix you have to go all the way up to 20% and still same problems with voice .

I found some set up that kind a work well , setting sound on standard , Sound Effect ( Virtual Surround on and Dialog Clarity on ), Additional Settings (Auto volume Normal), this really work ok until on some action the sounds gets muffle down then goes back up , this is on movies , could be on netflix(app from tv), on demand or Hbo from cable box , very Frustrated with this problem because we live in a small condo and no way we can use external speaker without disturbing the neighbors.

I have the latest firmware on the tv and x1 box , can you guys please help me with this issue .

Thank you .

Call 1800SAMSUNG in the USA or hit samsung.com and use their chat button. If they can't fix it, you may be looking at a return.

Different channels and applications are recorded at different volume levels. Can you try changing the Digital audio output to PCM?
