so i jus talked to the online support at samsung.. and what kinda ******** do they run.. firmwares that can cause problems.. you are suppose to put out firmwares that fix problems and carry over in the next firmwares.. on top of it they tell me the latest available firmware is the one i downloaded and installed which is ******** too.. cuz my tv originally had 1020 on it before the accidently downgrade and the only way i can get 1020 back on it is to have the tv serviced..
looks like ill be takin this tv back and going with a different brand. Love 30 day returns no questions asked. Enjoy "servicing" the tv.
First ill start out by saying i havent even had this tv for 2 whole days.. I know i was stupid and went to update the firmware cuz a few people told me i should check.. So i did i got the "Latest" firmware according to the samsung website which was actually older than what was originally on the tv.. i dont even remember the exact fw that was on it.. i think it was 1020.. anyway i went to hit no cuz it would be downgrading but i hit ok instead and long story short i have no sound now...
I get the volume bar on the side of the screen, the speaker is set to tv speaker. Everything worked fine till i got the older firmware..
Why do they even let you downgrade in the first place?? and why dont they have the latest firmware on their site if i had 1020 they only have 1016..
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? other than calling samsung
