Sound Lag problems please help

I put a 9800 gtx in my computer and it worked fine for practically a good week then I started seeing lag problems to the point that games are not able to be played and on my desktop I have sound lag problems (example when I have itunes up and move anything on the screen the song lags) I am running on all the specs needed for this card please help

Usually, it's a setting (a slider to be exact) in the display properties. Right click on an empty part of the desktop, choose properties and find it somewhere.

It was all the way to the right on Quality. I pushed it over to performance still nothing has changed...

Time to check the CPU usage of all processes in Task Manager. The only problem might be that a full screen game hides it.
