I had a problem a couple of days ago where my audio/video randomly glitched with a freeze and feedback sound that appeared out of no where. After trying everything, I decided on a whim to do a "restore" back to around the 8th of Feb. The problem went away. I have no idea why a "update" would cause problems with audio/video playback, but in Windows anything can happen I have found over the years.
So, if your computer just started exhibiting this problem within the last week; a system restore back a week or so could clear up the problem.
I could find no reference to my problem at Microsoft website and they have recently dropped free support for win7 updates.
I have a pair of Acer USB speakers that I use on my desktop that randomly stopped working a couple of days ago.
Ive plugged them into a different computer and they work just fine.
Ive tried my 3 different audio ports and different usb ports and had no luck. Just to make sure my usb ports were working ive plugged in my mouse to the other ones as well to double check and they work just fine.
The light on the speakers turns on, just like they should when I plug them in.
Ive checked Device Manager and have no issues with the sound drivers. I uninstalled the 3 sound devices and reinstalled all 3 with no issues. Still the same problem.
When I click on the little volume button in the lower right it shows the little green power meter going up and down when I have a audio file playing.
Does anybody have any suggestions to what might be happening here? I appreciate your help/thoughts in advance!
