Did you try double clicking on the volume icon in the taskbar, then look to see if the mute box is checked. If it is, then uncheck it. If it is not checked, then put a check in there then uncheck it and hopefully it will work again.
Hope this helps
First of all let me start by saying, I have clicked on the speaker icon and it is turned up.
Okay now that we have that out of the way...I have recently noticed that flash videos/games in all my browsers won't play any sound. I have tried it in IE/Firefox/Opera and in all of those I have had no luck. WMV/MOV files play just like they are supposed to. The only files that have been a problem are the SWF files.
Next let me say that MSN Messenger might also be affected by the same problem as it will not play my alert sounds like it is supposed to. I have uninstalled/reinstalled everything from Macromedia Flash Player to the browsers themselves, but alas nothing makes a difference.
I am running Windows XP Home SP2, Messenger 7.5, IE 6.0.2900.2180, Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6.
If anyone knows what I should do could you please help me. I have no idea what to do.
