I have a Sony Bravia KDF-46E3000 with two HDMI inputs. One has a PS3 with HDMI cable. The other is a cable box with HDMI cable. I am using a Samsung HT-Z210 home theater system. The audio for both sources goes through the t.v. and into the samsung receiver with a digital optical chord which i was told from sony that it will output the audio in dolby 5.1 this way. The problem is on most programming on the cable box and blu-ray movies on the ps3 i have a small to moderate audio delay and i want to fix this. would it be possible to continue using the HDMi cables for video only adn connect the audio directly to the samsung receiver with a digital optical from each source?
