Sound Blaster Live having problems...

Apr 7, 2005 12:28AM PDT

Greetings,

I bought a Gateway 503GR with a Pentium 4 and Windows XP last November. Things were going well with it but I changed out the sound card from the generic soundcard that it had to the Soundblaster live card from my previous computer. Things were working well with that too until yesterday. I have 4 speakers and a subwoofer connected to my computer and for some reason sound only comes out of the right frong and right rear speakers and the subwoofer. The left speakers are silent. Also, until yesterday I winamp worked, but now whenever I play winamp no sound at all comes out. All other media devices, such as Winamp media player, work (with sound still only coming out of 2 of the 4 speakers). I have checked the speaker connections in the back of my PC and things seem to be fine. I'm no sure what is wrong. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?
