The Basics
Mar 16, 2005 6:56AM PST

On my home page there is music (which is a short piano piece) that plays while the page is loading.

Now the basics to adding it are first having the actual music file that you want to play on your page. You have to have permission to use someone else's music unless its in the public domain. The next thing is the format that the music file is in. Mp3's take up the least space while .wav files take up the most space. And by space I'm referring to how much webspace you're allowed.

You will have to upload the music to your webspace so that visitors can hear it. Once you have added the music file to your webspace then you have to add the html coding which will depend on whether or not you want the music to play automatically or whether you want to give a visitor the option of hearing the music if they click on its link.
