General discussion

Sorry Forum peeps this question is related to windows xp too

Ok i've been granted access to a network (i'm using the network now on a laptop they provide) and can recieve this network from home, however they won't give me the WEP key for home use (cause they're kinda dumb) ((no honestly that's the reason))so i want the key to go on XBL. (this is a linux related question but like i said it's complicated) now i can't get the key off this laptop as i'm not admin but i can boot linux mint 8 helena from a disc and get into the filesystem does anyone know if and where i would (a) find the file containing the WEP key (b) if i can read the file while on mint 8 any help would be greatly appreciated, if i can't do this i'm planning to do an aircrack in the near future but i'm hoping the above is possible and a lil easier.

Hash.

Even if you can see the "key" is not on plain text.

The proper way is to get the key from the admin.

If the owner doesn't want to give it to you, we can't discuss hacking.
