hi,i was going to install Sophos antivirus on my macbook but when i clicked on Download i got a warning that this type of file can harm my computer,is anyone using Sophos and is is ok?

You may be remembering a generic message on the Mac that warns you anytime you open a file downloaded from the Internet.
After allowing the program to mature, I recently downloaded the new version and it seems to work very well.

Both Sophos and ClamXav will help protect your system from emerging threats as OSX becomes more targeted, I've been running Clam for years now and its stable, free and safe (even if it has never found anything
but thats because theres nothing to find yet)
Do you realise that Mac Xprotect is silently running in the background all the time? They've never really advertised it but its there.
