Sony with xp error: Unable to load SQLBOOT.DLL

Hi guys, I was trying to help my sister cleaning up her sony vgn-a497xp (it was very slow) and I think I uninstalled some important things, once I restarted it came this message and a lot of sonys pre-installed application stopped working (but I have not uninstalled, for sure). This laptop is quite old, and she does not have a recovery disc. any suggestion in solving the problem?
