Comes on when you get near the number of hours the lamp should be replaced, that does not mean the lamp will die that second. I have over 10,000 hours on a 8,000 lamp, it is dim in the day time, I am just waiting to see how long until it really dies or that it is useless at night.
Anyway... lights/lamps do die before they get to there lifespane, so no warning light pops up. Sometimes they are just defective, sometimes it is from bad power to the tv, like running the vac with the tv on, power outage and not having a UPS so the fan does not cool the lamp down right, power spike, go down the list of what can mess with power in the house and shorten the lamps lifespan.
JUST TO BE SURE THE LAMP IS BAD, SHOULD I BE ABLE TO OHM IT OUT? I GET NO CONTINUITY(SP?) ON MY METER. THANKS
IT GAVE NO WARNING JUST GAVE THE LAMP INDICATOR ONE DAY AND HASNT COME ON SINCE. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
