Sony vs. Rio vs. Sandisk!

Jun 23, 2005 10:16AM PDT

I was looking for a good flash based MP3 player and my top three choices are the Sony NWE- 505, the Rio Forge Sport or the Sandisk SDMX. These would all be either 1GB or 512 MB.

Thanks for answering my question (if you did)!

Please just tell which one of those not any others!

If you're replying to my message, please just tell me which of the three is the best for me and plaease don't suggest different other ones. I've done a lot of research and those are my top three and nothing else.

Thanks

Correction!
Jun 24, 2005 1:25PM PDT

Unfortunately I found out not long ago that where I live I can't purchase the Samsung YP-MT6x from any store. I am only able to get the YP-T6x. By the way I live in Quebec Canada and we don't have the newer version yet unfortunately.

So here's my question again which is better the Rio Forge Sport, the Sony NWE-505, the Sandisk SDMX or the Samsung YP-T6x.

Thank you to all who will reply or already did!

I would recommend the Sandisk Sansa over the SDMX
Jun 24, 2005 11:03AM PDT

I own it, and its main advantage over the SDMX is that it has an SD slot, supporting upto 2GB additional flash memory. I own the 1Gb version, which can be upgraded to 3 GB total memory this way, and possibly even upto 5Gb once those Sandisk 4 gig flash cards become affordable. It comes with a digital FM tuner, and a carrying case and armband, making it perfect for working out also. I reviewed it in detail on Epinions. I know you didnt want any further additions to your list, but the Sansa is in my opinion, a better overall player than the SDMX. here's the review link:
