True but...
Jun 6, 2006 9:30PM PDT

In the interest of keeping all the info on this post as trueful as possible it is necessary to point out when someone blatantly misses something so that when people come for the latest info they aren't mislead. For example the Xbox360 cannot burn DVD's none of the systems can. But more to the point some info that ignore a kind of common sense should be debuncted for that for example if someone says would you rather play halo or pong its just not a valid comparison you want a valid one say would you rather play halo or metroid prime. Also if your going to mention anything about problems with the motion sensitive controlers on either the the wii or the ps3 and say they might have trouble being read then well you might as well fault all of them on going with wireless controller b/c they aren't all that hard to block out either. And in case anyone was wondering there is a reason that there isn't a rumble feature except on the Wii look up Immersion and find out how PS and Microsoft stole their idea. Another ommision expecially with dealing with HD television is over stressing how much a change you see on the games now if your not playing on a rather large television say a 2k investment in an HD television so no it isn't something you need if you don't have that and no it doesn't make it better on a television that doesn't have HD if you do if you want go look at the orginal review on cnet comparing the 360 to the xbox on a non HD screen in a few cases it actually was worse. Also what is the point of talking about portable gaming system when dealing with stationary systems yes the PSP has wireless but well look at R. Proffitt post and wonder why some people don't trust sony products for brosing. Also just because something is free in the beginning doesn't mean it is necessarily bad advertising can cover the cost of the server as well as the selling of games for download from nintendo I mean I know Xbox live blows away the PS2 in online play but that shouldn't be seen as a model for what will happen with nintendo. Anyways as I said true we shouldn't bite each others heads off but irrelevant and incorrect data should be what is given here not just personal bias.

Your Answer Lies With Me....It All Depends In The End
Jan 23, 2007 2:43AM PST

This is something I posted to a person who was deciding on what console to choose from. So I copied and pasted it on here for you guys to read and tell me what you think about it.

I say the best bet is PlayStation 3 (because I favour Sony plus it's a lowend PC and a highend gaming console) but it was just launched. As of speaking right now I would say XBOX 360 only because it has been a year now since its launch.

So I will say to you just form your own opinions through:

www.gamespot.com (highly recommend), www.gameinformer.com, www.gamepro.com, www.gametrailers.com, www.ign.com (highly recoment)...etc.

So check out the games because these are about the games in the end.

The Microwsoft XBOX 360 game is Halo 3 some others are "Lost Planet" "Gears of War" "Perfect Dark".

Note: The Microwsoft XBOX 360 can soon connect to your tv and record live tv. Most of its potential is already polished to the bone.

The Sony PlayStation 3 varies on the player (mine are "Metal Gear Solid 4: Son of the Partriots", "Killzone", & "Socom"..etc.) some other famous ones are "Final Fantasy" "Resistance: Fall of Man".

Note: The Sony PlayStation 3 has the potential to make Microwsoft and Mac OS X lose money. They created their own Linux distro from a computer company Terra Soft: Yellow Dog Linux 5.0. Which makes it do the basic things that a PC can do ( emails, word processing, and any buisinesslike tasks). That will give you an idea of the the Sony PlayStation 3's cell chip architecture (yes it does exist for the people who don't think it does)

The Nentento Wii games are the usual characters that run this system like "Metriod Series" "Super Mario Galaxy" "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess"...etc.

Note: The Nitendo Wii can't play DvDs, music CDs, or anything other than its own games. Yet you are able to play every single game made by Nintendo.

So it's all about your preference, actually they are all good in their own ways and bad in others.

Honestly PlayStation 3 has a lot of potential and is going to live up to its hype. The thing that people get confused about is the blue - ray. The blue - ray is really ment for the game developers and not really the consumers. This is because some game developers wanted to do more with their games and couldn't because of the amount of space they had with the disk.

When they say "Play Beyond" they literally mean it with this console I'm just wondering how long with it take to polish it to the bear bones like XBOX Live. This system is even trying to last a decade which most people should know so we are going to see some nice system upgrades. The thing the interreges me the most is that fact that I can do home work on this thing. You also can't forget emails too.

P.S.

I also forgot to mention that the PSP (PlayStation Portable) can connect to the PS3 (PlayStation 3) through the internet / hot spot from anywhere in the world. I think that's how they said it was going to be connected and you'll be able to send and recieve video, down loaded PS1 (PlayStation) games, etc. That is another feature that I like about the PS3 and the potential it has to last me for years on end.

They also say stuff about the eye toy but not much lately so I'm wanting all this and hoping it turns out great.

my preference
Feb 25, 2007 4:59AM PST

I prefer Nintendo, but that is because with the wii, they aren't going so much for graphics, but for bringing the fun back into gaming by making them almost fully interactive with the motion of the controllers.
