Sony Vaio VGN-A240 Speed problems / network problem

May 24, 2005 2:52AM PDT

Dear Sir /Madam,
I have two issues in what I would apreciate your advise.
The first one is the speed.
I did buy a Sony Vaio VGN-A240P and it is not as fast as it should be. It's takes to much time to Turn off, Restart, Hibernate and Stand by.
As soon as open it is running so many programs that I don't know what they are for.
I think that must be a way to make this new laptop goes as fast as it deserve it.
The second problem I have is the network.
I have a wireless connection, but from the laptop I can't read the deskptop or find the printer. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jorge Pinotti

Call it in and make it a warranty issue. If they don't fix it, ask for a full refund.

Have you researched the name that shows with http://www.google.com

If not, can you tell why not? You don't have to tell, but some find such interesting.

In closing, we all wish our machines would work faster. Are you comparing this with another Sony of the same/make/model/exactly-the-same?

Bob
