If you are comfortable doing the repair what you discover is there are no repair documents to be found so you have to inspect it and hope you find it. You could also buy a new/used part(s) and hope.

Hello, recently my left click and touchpad "double tap" stopped working. model number is VPCF115FM.
The right button for the touchpad still works, I was able to invert the
buttons to be able to use it like the left button. This is apparently a
widespread problem on sony laptops? Sony wants $200 to fix it, I am
sure a soldered connection or a wire has come loose. Can anyone tell me
if they are familiar with this issue, and maybe how to remedy it, as far
as what the fix is if it's a known issue? Any help would be greatly
appreciated! I have a problem paying $200 plus $60 shipping to fix a
wire. Im comfortable opening the case and soldering if I need to, but a more extensive fix might require me sending it to Sony?
