Question

sony SX45 fils to load video onto Mac.

Mar 10, 2013 1:10PM PDT

Trying to load video from SX45 to my MacBook pro, all parameters are met, driver is updated, images load in PMB, but when I try to select and move to Iphoto it says "wll not save use iMovie" When I try iMovie, it says same thing.
I am pretty frustrated. I'd like to get a great one-take video I shot of a Re-enactment of the Battle of the Alamo, on the grounds of the Alamo.
Any help out there.

Did you try the usual?

That is, transcoding the content with any of the usual titles like Handbrake or VLC Player?

SX 45 fails to load video to Mac

I wouldn't know about that stuff. I tried following the directions to a T. Still gives a message that it won't save. says to use iMovie, but even then is won't save. Updated drivers, according to directions.
Still fails. Starting to PMO.
I can see all the videos on PMB, and even play them, but when I try to select and drag and drop or click on import it gives the error message.

I'd ask around to learn about transcoding.

It's something I've had to learn about when I want to use video from many devices.
