Question

SONY SUPER 8 XR 72X HANDYCAM

Hi
I am trying to connect my Sony Handycam to my Dell Laptop with Windows 10. The Video creation software is Virtualdub that I used successfully before before I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. I have a yellow jack plug in the video output and a red or white for audio as its only a mono recorder.
The connection to the laptop is with a USB.

Virtual dub shows the Laptop built in camera and a remote camera but will not recognize the VHS input .

Any help greatly received

Thanks

rendezvousman

Clarification Request
The camera is identified

But that USB adapter was not. I've used VirtualDub for years with a Firewire connection. Are you sure about VirtualDub use with USB?

Answer
Electronics and Gadgets

I think "Electronics and Gadgets" would be more suitable subforum then "Win 10". However, I think a driver software would sort this problem out. All the best.
