Most RPTVs have had issues. And with service costing more than ever and these being out of warranty the posts and tirades about this are well, incredible.
If you want to keep this going I hope folk that do the service will comment about keeping it clean and cool.
Yes there are recalls, lawsuits and more but if it's working, don't talk about around the working set.

I bought this TV in 2007, and I have been very happy with it. I had to replace the bulb in 2010 at a cost of $125. I ordered the bulb off the internet and installed it on my own. It's now 2012 and the TV is still just fine. I expect I will have to replace the bulb again in @ a year.
The reason I'm submitting this post is because every time I go shopping for another TV for my home (I have 3 TV rooms to buy for), I wind up telling the salesperson about this TV and how happy I've been with it and they throw it under the bus like I can't believe. Supposedly there was a problem with something and they had a major recall and etc.
It seems like I'm the only happy owner of this TV. Is there anyone else out there??? Is it possible mine was made after they discovered the defect? I fully expect to replace the bulb again, and who knows, I may keep this TV running for 15 years.
Anyone with any knowledge of this care to comment?
