Hi

i want to buy a blu ray player, but i don't know if i would be wasting cash. as i like playing video games on my ps3, but i want to get the best out of my blu rays. i have a Samsung plasma PS-42S5SD it can handle upto 1080i high definition in picture. i have a hdml lead and a budget in mind for a blu ray player. any info on the blu rays below would be great, are they better picture quality, better upscaling and Sound etc than my Sony ps3, any help to these players or questions would be great. thanks a million??

I've yet to see any difference between my PS3 and other BD players. Can you share what I am looking for?

So what your saying is those BD players would be a waste of money? would this be the same with the new Sony BDP-S790 . if so what model out their can beat the Sony PS3 for picture and sound quality if any?

Sorry if I was unclear.

I was writing that I didn't see the PS3 beat out other BD players. At first the PS3 had the distinction of being the fastest from the time you slip in the BD to when you could press play but today that's pretty fast and a non-issue.

The PS3 does offer other trick and the other BD players often have Smart TV features.

Sort of a toss up which way to go. But the BD player runs about 99 bucks and the PS3 a bit more so most folk will go with the BD players.
