Sony PS3 3D Display Monitor

Jan 6, 2012 7:41AM PST

Sony just released its PS 3D display monitor - which has got relatively decent reviews. And it seemed to meet all my requirements, namely, using it with my PS3 for 3D games as well as using it as a PC monitor for business S/W in 2D and PC games in 3D. So, for a killer deal at $299 (including glasses, cables, a PS3 game, etc.), I ordered it.

Sony advertised in several places that their 3D Display would "...allow you to connect to your PS3 system, cable TV box, and PC."

But when speaking to a Rep at PS just now, I was informed in no uncertain terms that Sony Playstation can NOT guarantee compatibility with ANY 3rd party device, including my computer and any PC business or software games - in either 3D or 2D.

Given other possible flaws with the PS 3D Display monitor as well as the above info, I am strongly leaning towards cancelling my order for this monitor.

SO...If anyone has any experience using the PS 3D display monitor with a PC in 2D mode (&/or PC games in 3D), I would really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!
