sony picture package and vista

by swimpc / August 13, 2007 8:47 PM PDT

OS Vista Home premium
sony picture package is not compatable with vista
I did install and got errors
sony had an update driver that was supposed to fix the problem
I installed that
it did not work
I have uninstalled sony picture package and even went to regedit and eliminated every mention of picture package
I still get an error message every time I start up that windows has recovered from a serious error
The cause of the error is sony handycam
Has anyone else had this problem
I do not want picture package to work, I just want to get the error removed

Sony Picture Package and Vista
by Watson8700 / December 30, 2007 4:35 AM PST

I am running Vista Home Premium on a HP I re-installed Sony Picture Package and I get this message: To run this application, you need to install Macromedia Flash player first. OK so off I go an get that from the net. This won't install until Firefox is stopped, and then it will install - but this version won't run with Vista. Version 2 is required

Version 2.0 of what software?
by John.Wilkinson / December 30, 2007 7:09 AM PST

As far as I can tell the latest version of Picture Package is 1.8, with ImageMixer 2.0 (circa 2006), but Vista is not supported. You can try running it in Compatibility Mode, but other than that it may not be possible.
