Sony PC109 on Tripod tethered to Computer?

Feb 4, 2005 11:50AM PST

My kids and I are trying to make animations using our PC109. We're using software on the computer. So, the camera needs to be connected (we use Firewire, it could be USB, though) to our computer. To be kept sufficiently still, the camera also needs to be on a tripod.

Unfortunately, the only way I see to connect the camera to the computer is via the camera's dock. But, the dock has no connection tripod (except, maybe, duct tape).

Is there some way I can mount the camera on a tripod securely while having it connected to the computer?

Thanks,

Gary
