at the end of march canon will be releasing their sd400. easily will give the 5200 a run for its money, however nikon is re-introducing its 5200 as the 5900. should prove pretty good. but canon has its upgraded digic II chip. brings out much better color quality and a little crisper. the problem with most canon elph's is the fact that they soften around the edges. hasnt proved that bad at my store really. id recommend the sd400 then the p200 then the 5900. p200 does have incredible speed. but its so ugly. just my little bit.
I have narrowed down my search for a compact dig camera (i think) between the sony p200 and the nikon 5200, but cannot decide between the two. they both seem to provide excellent pic quality, but i am leaning towards the sony because of the carl zeiss lens and ability to blow up larger pics. However, the nikon has better marco capabilities. Please help! Also, I was interested in the canon s500, but it is too big for my needs. Should I wait until they come out with a smaller 5mp camera, or go with the sony or nikon? any advice is appreciated!
