Sony or Mitsubishi?

Looking at: Mits WD52825(diamond) & Sony KDFXBR950

Hello, Im fairly new here and am buying my first HDTV. I am looking for some good advice on which set I should consider buying.
I know these two sets are different technologys(DLP vs LCDRP) but thats where I get confused. Im not sure which would be best for me. I am planning on having HD programming from a satellite Company, watch DVD's and definantly play some xbox.
My living room has a good amount of sunlight through out the day. Our sitting area is about 12-15 feet away from the set and just above eye level due to the wall unit I have.

My main concern is PICTURE QUALITY and how long that picture will remain that way. Im not too concerned with all the technical capabilities that some of the TV's come with now a days. Again its all about the picture quality for me.

Thanks to anyone who helps me make a decision.

WD62725

I have been researching new TV also. I made a choice to go with the Mits WD62725. I looked at both the sony and the mits pictures. They both look real good. They have about the same on the inputs so I made my decision on how easy it was to repair since I need at least 3 to 5 years on this TV. Hands down the the mits was the easiest to swap out bulbs. Its right in the very front, comes in a cartridge style. Works for me.

How do you like it?

Thanks for the response first of all. Have you got it home yet and if so are there any regrets that you didn't go with the sony? How was the performance out of the box? How does the anti-glare shield work(725 series)? Picture quality as good as you thought it was?

problem solved ( I THINK)

I just bought a Sony kp-65wv600 old type 3 gun set for only $2500 and Iam blown away at the stunning picture The picture looks more natural than the plasma,l.c.d and p.l.d set at half the price and if you ever have to replace the tubes they only cost $200 each If your plasma poops out you may have to throw it in the garbage can but whatever set you buy make sure you use a d.v.i. interface between your t.v. and d.v.d. player ,sat box or cable tuner and if you only have 1 d.v.i. port on your t.v. get a giffen d.v.i switcher you will get a stunning picture from you h-def. and d.v.d. player please reply Iam under stewart norrie in this chat room or cadillacstew@aol.com
