Sony Memory Sticks

Feb 23, 2005 7:10AM PST

Last week, I purchased a 128 mb Sony memory stick only to have my 3 year old Sony digital camera knok out on me. I'm considering buying another camera. If I want to continue to use the memory stick I just bought, am I limited to Sony brand only or can the Sony memory stick be used with other brands of digital cameras?

Given the current pricing of 128MB memory cards...

I would not let this be a deciding factor.

so are you saying that Sony sticks only work in Sony cameras?

So far, there is no reason for anyone to use them ...

In anything else. Here's why. Sony won't share all the details about how to use such in non-Sony products. And they want a license fee. The result is as you see in the market place.

Again, you are not losing anything by tossing this card out.
