Sony KP-51WS520 51" Rear projection

Jul 9, 2005 12:49PM PDT

Hello, I'm stepping up to the big TV's. The largest TV I've ever owned was a 27" Mitsubishi Television. I've been looking for about a month and this TV (around 1400-1500) looks the best to me. I just want an opinion from someone who has owned or has watched tv on one of these. Is it a great tv? Is the picture good.

Thanks

I think you mean there 57" rear 3 gun priject model I dont think Sony makes a 51" hi-def set in that size. Any way my 65" 16x9 set is awsome and I only paid $2500 for it but if you go the 3 gun t.v. make sure its calibrated after about 3 months and make sure you use the d.v.i input for your hi-def tuner and d.v.d. player also you will need a giffen d.v.i switcher to give you a stunning picture good luck stewart norrie in this chat room

I dont believe Sony makes my 65" model anymore but they make a smaller 57" unit that sparkels for around $1200, But to get a stunning picture you must use the d.v.i. input from your hi-def tuner and d.v.d. player I bought a Denon d.v.d. player with d.v.i. output and a Gifin d.v.i. switcher so I can switch between d.v.d. and my Dish 811 hi-def satellite receiver and The picture is eye popping good luck
