I just bought this tv yesterday(a return) and the hdmi doesn't get recognized by tv. Does anybody know if I am doing something wrong??????? I'am plugging into dishnetwork hd receiver then into tv. I have 2 hdtvs the other works fine thru hdmi??????

I have the same TV and Direct tv hooked up via hmdi. It should be on video 6 or 7. I use one for Direct TV and the other HDMI (video 7) for my DVD. Other than plugging it in correctly and then scrolling to video 6 or 7, nothing else you should need to do.

Thanks for response!!! No I have 2 dishnetwork hd receivers. Must be tv. I will call sony. I also notice faces are washed out. The sharp adjustment does no change at all. ( maybe thats another problem)Or is caused by the 60" picture size. Please let me know what you think!!!!!!!!

TV is great, I didn't know you have to program each input! I called sony they answered phone immediately and had someone at my house within 3 days!!! Unbeleiveable!!!! Great Service the picture is 1000 times better now that HDMI is working!!!!!

i know the directtv hd boxes has a button in the front to change the output mode of the box. u gotta put it in 1080i/720p or hdmi mode in order for it to work or else you get nothing. maybe during the change in the equipment, it reset the box? i have no idea.
