If you are on unit #3, it's time to change model if not make.

I'm now on my 3rd Sony kdl55nx720 over two months. The TV emits an electronic buzzing sound which can be heard through the rear vents. The sound is inconsistent in that it sometimes happens when the TV is cold, sometimes hot, stops and starts. The outlet and surge strip have been checked by the installation technicians and still no answer to why. The problem was discovered by the setup tech with the 1st TV delivered and he thought it might have something to do with the power input. All three have done this and have come from the same store.
Has anyone heard of anything like this?

After my TV laying unused for about 3 months, when i switched it on first time, some brief hiss sound came form the rear near the power cord area. Sounded like a short-circuiting chip! i was quite worried, but then nothing happened afterwords. One time ony. Works fine till now. Should i be worried?
