Sony KDL52W3000 (LCD) Vs Samsung FPT5084 (PLASMA)

by koolguyal / December 27, 2007 5:31 AM PST

I am on here since CNET (a site that I always trust and look to for reviews does not have a review of the W series at all :(). I am looking to buy a 52 inch TV....a 50 one if I get Samsung.

I am going to be viewing regular Cable TV and regular DVDs on the screen. I am also looking for something that wont be too reflective (eg Samsung LCD).

I do like the Sony brand and have always trusted in it, not sure about Samsung. I read somewhere in the reviews at standard def on Samsung is not as good as on Sony. I like the slight bigger size and the feel of a bigger tv on Sony but would like to buy the best one available. I can get the sony for 2499 while the samsung will cost me 2799.

Was wondering if people that actually bought the TVs or have experience with them might be able to give me some pointers on what to look for and which one might be better than the other......I can see Samsung got some good reviews....but cant compare since Sony was not even reviewed (S series)!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
