SONY KDL40EX520 - already needs repair!

Mar 2, 2012 1:54PM PST

I have had this TV for ten months. I paid over the odds to get a SONY because I wanted something reliable. Now there is a long black line running across the screen. The retailer has told me to contact SONY for a repair - which will take 4-6 weeks. There is no chance of replacement - not even temporarily while they repair the TV. When did it become ok to take large amounts of money from consumers in return for sub-standard goods, and then make the consumer run around the place and wait for weeks and weeks to repair those sub-standard goods.

Shame on you Sony.
