Sony KDL40CS523 pink picture ?

Hi, I am hoping to sort out Mums TV at the weekend her sony gives a Pink Picture when switched on, then after 30 mins all is fine apart from a small pink line at the top of the screen, which does not go away, I have a replacement Tcon board, which I hope may solve the issue, any further help appreciated

What model is that?

As to TV repair I have yet to see any TV tech advise in these forums. I'm only an electronics engineer and would never advise that "this will fix that" but it sounds like a good thing to try if you don't harm yourself.

In reply to: The correct model no is KDL40SX523 does however seem to find out that it's a PLASMA. This post has incorrect model numbers but PLASMA sets can require a tune up from the TV tech to adjust drive voltages.

NO. I don't think it's a TCON board but remember we are unsure of the true model yet.

You could scour if you don't believe me but these adjustments take just a few minutes by a tech. Most folk can't do this.
