General discussion

SONY KDF-60XBR950

I just purchased this TV last weekend. It is being delivered on Weds. I've read some reviews that indicate that calibration is needed for this set to work it's best and others that say it does not.
I've called local Home Theatre places to see what they charge and suggest and some have given estimates and others said that the calibration is a sham and waste of money (nice that they are honest). I'm going to try it out before I schedule someone to come in, maybe it won't be necessary.
I wanted to see if anyone had this TV and what they did/suggest?
Also, is there anyone in the know that can tell me a few things that I can try to see if the TV is performing it's best or if needs calibration.
THANKS-

I haven't gotten calibrated b/c I think that it looks great. I use it in the Pro or Std mode. All I did was lower the brightness and the sharpness and it looks great. Two of my friends have LCD's and theirs are no where close to what mine looks like. Overall I am very satisfied and I am going to pass on the calibration.
Using a good DVI Cable (I have a Monster DVI Cable) is a MUST. Even expensive Component cables cannot compete.
