The article was informative yet not a full performance review. Thanks for responding.

It covered what I wondered about.

There are stores in my area, including a Sony store if I wanted to check it out. I can't guess why anyone would pop this much for a sound bar. The surround is emulated so right there for the money it's not a good buy.

What area needed more review?

Since it would be replacing a great 5.1 full size speaker system (redecorating the living room so the big speakers gotta go) I want to know how strong the vocals are projected plus the full array of sound. The price does seem much too high but lately I've noticed high prices for other soundbars. If you happen to go by the Sony Store have a listen for me.

Thanks

That may be a while.

The Sony store isn't that close here and so I hit it about once or twice a year. I eventually gifted my last soundbar to my brother and opted for some nice bookshelf speakers. That was only a few hundred and hit the spot for my HDTV viewing.
