Use a tripod.
hi forum.
I recently purchased a HDR FX7E camcorder. It has been an amazing camera and is exactly what i wanted for filming action sports. It has the super slow motion option and has amazing picture quality.
i got the camera at the end of march this year (2007). lately i have been experiencing some problems with the steady shot. when i am zoomed all the way in and following a rider on a bike ( i shoot mountainbike races quite often) the steady shot seems to over compensate and it causes the image to jerk around quite a bit.
its like there is someone pushing the camera when i am trying to keep it steady. it happens when the camera is at half zoom, but its not as noticeable.
it seems to go away if i turn the steady shot off, but as with all cameras, it is very hard to hold the camera steady enough to get a decent shot with this function turned off.
I would like to know if there is anyone else out there with this problem.
