Sony HD5: Replacing a cracked screen

Hi guys and girls,

I've managed to crack the screen of my Sony HD5. I just called a repairer and they told me they couldn't quote a price on the screen over the phone, that I'd have to take it in there and pay $45 to get a quote! They wouldn't give me a ballpark figure, but said it could cost anywhere between $100 and $200 (Australian dollars) just for the screen, and then there would be labour costs!

This could put the cost of replacing the screen at around half the price I paid for the unit in the first place (which I think is a bit ridiculous)!

Has anybody else out there had to replace a screen on an HD5? Is there anywhere on the Internet where I could buy one?
