Sony HC 42 - any one got one?

Hey,

Looking into getting the sony HC 42 just wondering has anyone here have experiance of it 'low light' capabilities i.e. indoors at night time with a light on.

Don't have one, but i do have a 32 and it's not very good in low light, so it's going bk this week. I was going to trade it in on a 42 - figures it would be better in LL, but i read several reviews saying otherwise.

Dam it!!! when saying low light are you talking about a dimly lit room or room with lights all on?? there seems to be a professional view on low light and an amateur view - me being the later ha! i just need a camcorder that can record indoors at night with lights on

I'VE A HC-42 CAMCORDER AND IT IS GOOD IN LOW LIGHT CONDITION AND IT COMPARITIVELY BETTER THAN PANASONIC AND CANNON CAMCORDERS..BUT I'VE ANOTHER PROBLEM, CONVERSION OF VIDEO IMAGES TO PC AND TO CREATE A VCD. ARE U USING PICTURE PACKAGE SOFTWARE OR SOMETING ELSE...

I got a HC-42

I haver one and yesterday I recorded a music concert at night. The result was great.
Great zoom on night conditions.. I just needed to reduce the exposure. After that the result was great!

HC42 and USB=trouble

I got the HC42 a couple months ago, it's a great camera and to me, the indoors shooting in low light is adequate. The connection with the USB-port did not work for me. The computer did not find the device. So I got a firewire cable and with that capturing film workes perfectly.
