But many old models can't be repaired for less than a new camcorder. That really upsets folk. As an example the minimum shop charge here is 150USD and you can get camcorders for that much.
My Sony handycam is not working at the moment and is behaving like the following. I've goggled around but cannot see any similar errors.
When you power up, it starts to load any the handycm logo appears on the lcd screen. However next an image appears on the screen upon which the camcorder powers down and try's to reboot. Same thing happens on reboot.
The image is off a movie frame (on left hand side of screen) and to the right of it a picture of the harddrive. I'm guessing its a harddrive error but would like to clarify if possible. There isn't any Sony shop close and the shops i've carried it to, seem unable or unwillingly to resolve it.
