Question

Sony HandyCam DCR TRV320 Need help getting picture

Nov 8, 2012 11:12AM PST

The playback works fine, but when I want to record, there is no picture to record. Forget the battery, they are both dead, so I'm using AC power. I can't find a setting that would cause this problem. Any ideas??

Answer
Some hate this but it must be said.

I had a friend with a similar model. They futzed with it for months. A year passed and then they dragged it over to me again. I would have nothing to do with it. Yes, there's a reset, you can clean heads, try a new tape but if you must use the 320, get another on ebay.

Thanks, I kind of thought that would be the case. However, can you give me the reset instructions? I'd hate not to at
least try it before I give up..

It's either noted as a reset hole or a menu item. Sorry but I don't have the manual handy today.

pretty thoroughly, but I'll look again and see if I missed anything. Thanks again.
